Japanese and Koreans start freighter codeshare

All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Air Incheon have begun codesharing on freighter services between Japan and South Korea. Since ten day now, both carriers are selling cargo space on each other’s flights, enhancing connectivity and supporting rising demand on the busy trade lane.

The move follows Air Incheon’s integration of Asiana Airlines’ freighter business on 1 August 2025, after which it announced plans to rebrand as Airzeta, making it South Korea’s second-largest cargo airline. ANA, meanwhile, has strengthened its cargo strategy through the recent acquisition of Nippon Cargo Airlines.

The codeshare underscores both airlines’ commitment to competitive, high-quality services and greater value for customers moving goods between Japan and Korea. (ah)
