K2 enters business in Norway

The Bergen (Norway)-based Peak Group, established in 2005, has launched its own project forwarding company, K2 Project Forwarding (K2), in a joint investment with the Deugro group. The unit will act as an independent project freight forwarder in Norway.

“We aim to offer an independent solution for the Norwegian project market,” said Didrik T. Martens, chairman, Peak Group.

K2 will be led by Leif Arne Strømmen, who has been appointed CEO and assumed his position on 3 May, 2021. During his career, Strømmen has held several international positions within innovation, projects, oil and gas and marine logistics. K2 will have access to Deugro group’s IT systems including the Cargo Wise transport management system (TMS). (sh)
