KF Aerospace adds ATR freighter for Purolator contract

KF Aerospace has acquired a third ATR 72-500F to support its renewed ten-year contract with Purolator’s BC Feeder Network. The aircraft, sourced from FlyCAA, will undergo a large cargo door conversion and avionics upgrades at KF’s Kelowna base before entering service later this year.

Earlier this year, KF already took delivery of two ATR freighters – one containerised and one bulk-loaded – replacing its ageing Convair 580 fleet. "The acquisition of this third aircraft represents a continued investment in the modernisation of our air cargo fleet," said Tracy Medve, CEO of KF Capital Ltd. With all three ATRs in service by 2026, Purolator has secured a fully renewed fleet for its regional network. (ah)
