Launch of a dedicated life sciences air network
Frontier Scientific Solutions and Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) have formed a strategic partnership to create what they call it "the world’s first dedicated air corridor for temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals", connecting key life science hubs across the USA and Europe. The new network combines Frontier’s USD1.5 billion life-science logistics infrastructure with ATSG’s global freighter expertise to ensure end-to-end temperature control, regulatory compliance and visibility.
Frontier CEO Steve Uebele called the launch "a milestone in building connected global infrastructure for life sciences," while Greg Mays, President of ATSG, said it "transforms how an industry moves and protects critical products." The route linking Wilmington, NC, and Shannon (Ireland) anchors a system designed to cut handoffs from 20 to fewer than four, setting a new benchmark for reliability in pharmaceutical air logistics.
