Launch of China - Turkey intermodal service
Kerry Logistics has launched new cross-border rail and trucking services from China to the Caucasus region and Turkey.
Starting from Lianyungang (China), the new westbound railfreight service will convey shipments across Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea to multiple destinations in Turkey via the newly-built Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway. Blocktrain and single wagon services are available. The transit time is 18-20 days.
In addition to the railfreight offer, a road haulage service along the same trade route from China to the Caucasus and Turkey has also been launched. To fulfil this, Kerry Logistics has added 50 trucks to its existing fleet. The transit time is 12-14 days. (ben)
