LTG and Ukrainian railways strengthen cooperation

The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to develop a joint international intermodal route between Klaipeda (Lithuania) and Kyiv (Ukraine) through Polish territory. The first test runs are planned for this year, with regular cargo services to be launched on this route in the future.

The new cooperation will create an efficient transport corridor between Lithuania and Ukraine and use the potential of the countries' railways, port terminals, and border crossing points, LTG Cargo said.

The companies also agreed to prepare the necessary technological and operational solutions and draw up a specific action plan to implement the project. (ben)
