Lübeck – Herne shuttle several times a day

Germany's Ruhr area and destinations in the country's federal states on the Baltic Sea are coming closer: Kombiverkehr is responding to growing cargo volumes at the terminals of the Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft (LHG) and introducing another daily connection between Herne in the Ruhr area and the Baltic Sea.

In Lübeck, Baltic Rail Gate, a subsidiary of Kombiverkehr and LHG, loads and unloads around 50 trains a week.

The new connection between Lübeck and Herne complements the existing Lübeck – Duisburg intermodal service in Germany, which is served with eleven departures per week and direction. This link is handled by European Cargo Logistics (ECL), LHG's intermodal subsidiary, in cooperation with Kombiverkehr. (ben)
