Man expands Salzgitter site by 30%
Man Truck & Bus has reported it has expanded its global logistics centre in Salzgitter by 53,000 sqm – a 30% increase – to meet rising demand for zero-emission technology and its product portfolio. The site now totals 235,000 sqm and supports parts supply to over 120 countries. "The top priority of our spare parts logistics is to supply customers quickly and reliably", said Michael Kobriger.
The expansion will integrate the Traton modular system, streamlining parts management across group brands. With up to 220,000 components stored in future, Man aims to ensure availability for all vehicle types for up to 15 years post-production. The site supports Man’s goal of 50% electric vehicle deliveries by 2030. (js)
