More eco-transports by train and gas truck

ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) and Lamborghini are launching a new railfreight link for transporting Lamborghini Urus bodies from the VW plant in Zwickau, Germany, to Lamborghini’s headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese near Modena in Italy.

With a transit time of only 48 hours, this is the fastest and most eco-friendly transport from Zwickau to Modena, RCG says. In fact, road haulage is completely replaced by rail. The weekly transport enables Lamborghini to reduce its C02 emissions by 85%, from 2,234 to 331 t.

In a journey covering 1,000 km, the cargo travels only 21 km per road by gas truck from Modena to the Sant'Agata Bolognese site.
