More rail transports for building and recycling industries

Switzerland’s railfreight company SBB Cargo and Sersa, a specialist in the construction and maintenance of rail infrastructure, have decided to intensify their cooperation in future. The aim is to shift more cargo transports for the building and recycling industries onto the railways.

The companies want to focus their cooperation on personnel and locomotive resources in particular. They are also considering a closer partnership with regard to the procurement of containers and wagons. Furthermore, the parties will discuss the option of submitting joint offers for tenders.

Despite the cooperation contract, the companies will continue to act as autonomous and independent units at all times. (ben)
