More units for AAL

Singapore-based AAL Shipping (AAL) is expanding its fleet. It recently took delivery of two more refurbished ‘G-Class’ multipurpose heavy lift vessels.

The ‘Pacific Action’ and ‘AAL Gladstone’ have both served in the AAL fleet in the past and re-join in the course of March. ‘AAL Gladstone’ was renamed ‘AAL Gibraltar’ this week. Their two sister vessels, ‘AAL Genoa’ and ‘Pacific Alert’ (to be named ‘AAL Galveston’) are already in service.

These relatively young vessels feature a total cargo intake of 35,705 cbm, four cargo holds, three tweendecks and a maximum lift capacity of 240 t. They bring AAL’s the core fleet to 720,200 total deadweight (dwt). (cd)
