New COO at Eurotunnel
Laurent Fourtune was appointed chief operating officer for the Eurotunnel Group's fixed link sector, as of 12 March 2018. He reports to François Gauthey, the deputy chief executive.
Michel Boudoussier, who switched from SNCF to Eurotunnel in 2010, was selected as the group's chief corporate officer.
Fourtune is an expert for transporting cargo through tunnels: in 2001 he joined the office of Jean-Claude Gayssot and was responsible for the project to reopen the Mont Blanc Tunnel to HGVs. Later, at Ile-de-France Mobilités (previously STIF), he acted as director of investment projects where, among others, he ran the project to install 70 km of tramway.
In 2008 he became service director at Vinci and then, in 2010, he joined RATP's engineering service as deputy director. From 2012, he was RATP's director of project coordination and member of the committee of directors. (cd)
