New ops manager for new logistics centre


Volker Weidemann has been recruited as operations manager of Hermes Fulfilment’s 76,000 sqm logistics centre that is currently being built in Ansbach (Germany). In his new role, he will be responsible for warehouse logistics for furniture, large electrical appliances and other bulky goods.

 

Weidemann previously worked for several logistics service providers where he gained extensive experience which he will contribute to his new role. He is particularly interested in the mix of project management and development work that his new job in Ansbach will offer.

 

Weidemann: "When does anyone get the chance to help shape a completely new location? I did not have to think twice about accepting the job offer.”

 

Hermes expects to start searching for skilled workers in summer. The company will offer up to 600 jobs in new platform’s administration, commercial and IT sectors. (mw)
