New Purolator freighter from KF Aerospace

KF Aerospace has completed its first ATR 72-500F for Purolator’s BC Feeder Network.

The aircraft, converted from passenger use and painted in Purolator livery at KF’s Kelowna facility, will replace older Convair CV580s. It marks the first of three ATRs to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions across British Columbia.

KF has supported Purolator’s cargo operations for decades and will operate the aircraft under its current contract. The next two freighters are due later this year. According to KF VP Bryan Akerstream, the project demonstrates KF’s full-service capabilities. Purolator’s Jason Dacosta added the aircraft will improve reliability while helping meet sustainability targets. (ah)
