New rail solution from Asia to Europe

Gefco has introduced another Transrussian door-to-door intermodal service. The new train runs weekly from Vadivostok to Europe either via the port of St Petersburg or via the Ukrainian/Polish border point Malazewice/Brest with a transit time of maximum 30 days.

From St Petersburg the service offers further connection to Gdansk (Poland), Rotterdam (The Netherlands), Hamburg and Bremerhaven (both Germany) and from Brest further to Duisburg (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), Prague (Czechia), Milan (Italy), Lyon (France) and Madrid (Spain).

In Asia, there are options to collect the freight from ports in China, Korea and Japan to be shipped to Vadivostok in Russia.

The intermodal offer includes pick-up, export clearance, freight, import clearance, delivery of the shipment and a full monitoring during the whole ride, Gefco said. (ben)
