New vehicles to counter cargo space shortage
Germany-based Meyer Quick Service Logistics (QSL) has added six new HGVs to its fleet to combat the growing shortage of space for cargo. The company, which primarily serves the catering industry, will station the vehicles at several locations in Germany and deploy them for pan-European overland services.
QSL will also undertake a several months' long test to ascertain how much additional cargo space is needed.
The six new units are 480 hp Renault T 480s that have been equipped with telematics software to monitor temperature, location and theft. (ben)
