Nine new trucks to boost recycling fleet

Surrey (UK)-based Britaniacrest Recycling has taken delivery of nine new Volvo trucks to boost its operations in the south east of England. The group of FE, FMX and FH models join a Volvo dominated fleet of over 45 vehicles. Two 18 t FE 4x2 skip loaders are producing 250 hp.

The six Volvo FMX 8x4s all come with 460 hp engines. The sole FH tractor unit is powered by an engine rated at 540 hp. The new group will work across Britaniacrest Recycling’s network of depots.

The skip loader fleet operates relatively locally, whilst the tippers cover a larger area that includes the south east and south coast, Britaniacrest Recycling said. (ben)
