Norse adopts Inmarsat technology

Norse Ship Management has selected Inmarsat Maritime’s 'Nexuswave' service to strengthen connectivity on board a bulk carrier. Delivered with partner Station Satcom, the system supports Norse’s digitalisation strategy by enabling real-time engine monitoring and remote access to business-critical applications. According to Inmarsat 'Nexuswave' offers unlimited data, high speeds and global coverage through managed bonded connectivity.

"Crew welfare is our top priority, and providing a home-like internet experience onboard is increasingly vital," said Captain Akshay Yadava, managing director of Norse Ship Management. He added that growing commercial traffic demands also require robust, consistent connections. (js)
