"Not a single nail will arrive"

Dockworkers at the port of Genoa are threatening to halt all shipments to Israel. This comes in the wake of the Israeli minister of national security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, announcing that humanitarian activists transporting aid for Gaza on the "Samud flotilla" will be treated as terrorists, according to an article on the online portal "Trasporto Europa".

Riccardo Rudino, an activist with Calp, an autonomous collective of port workers, announced that if they lose contact with the crews on board the ships in the flotilla and the goods don't reach the people in need in Gaza, then all shipments to Israel will be blocked. "Not a single nail will arrive in Israel," the news portal quotes the activist as saying. A declaration supported by the grassroots union USB aims to extend the mobilisation across Europe. (js)
