Overtime on the last weekend

More chances to see the last MD-11F registered in Europe in service are coming this weekend. Lufthansa Cargo, which has gradually replaced its triple-jet aircraft with B777Fs, has announced that, although the last flight of D-ALCC was scheduled for today, 15 October 2021, the aircraft is doing two more extra rounds for the German air cargo carrier, "because her capacities are urgently needed".

Plane spotters look out: After landing in Frankfurt (planned for 12:05 today, 15 October 2021), "Charlie Charlie" is scheduled to take off again at 17:20 for New York JFK, where it is to land at 20:05 and set off on its return flight at 22:35 (landing at 12:10).  The next and last round trip is planned at exactly the same times, that is, the last landing is sceduled for 12.10 on Sunday in Frankfurt.

Lufthansa Cargo told the ITJ that the aircraft will be seen off with a ceremony next Thursday. (ah)
