Pal Cargo boosts digital services and national reach

At a special 85th anniversary event in Manila, Philippine Airlines presented its revitalised Pal Cargo division, aiming to strengthen its position in digital-era logistics.

The freight unit now offers online booking, payment and tracking for domestic cargo, with mobile tools as well as international services to follow. A port-to-door delivery option and 'Mabuhay Miles' for cargo users is also planned.

"We're dedicated to enabling Filipino businesses to reach global markets with safe, efficient and competitive solutions," said Jason Siy (left), Pal vice-president for cargo. The unit operates from hubs in Manila, Clark, Cebu and Davao, covering the country and expanding through partnerships, including Airspeed and the DTI.

With demand for e-commerce and international trade on the rise, Pal Cargo is evolving to support both small and large-scale shippers with tailored services and modern handling standards. (ah)
