Port of New Orleans appoints Kristi App
The port of New Orleans has announced Kristi App as its new chief commercial officer. In this role, she will lead commercial operations across the port's freight, cruise and industrial real estate sectors, bringing over 20 years of experience in international trade and logistics.
Previously, App was chief operating officer at J.W. Allen & Company, where she optimised supply chains and developed resilient logistics networks. Beth Branch, president and CEO of the port, highlighted App's extensive background as crucial for advancing initiatives like the Louisiana international terminal.
A licensed US customs broker and certified customs specialist, App has received the C. Alvin Bertel award for her contributions to the Louisiana port community. She expressed enthusiasm for joining the port of New Orleans and the opportunity to enhance its global connections and drive economic growth, focusing on expanding market reach and generating new revenue streams.
