Prologis builds logistics centre in Bremen

As from Q4/2019, Prologis will begin developing a logistics facility in Bremen (Germany. The building will be constructed on a speculative basis and cover around 17,000 sqm. Completion is planned for the third quarter of 2020.

Prologis purchased the 31,500 sqm plot in Bremen’s industrial park from Bremeninvest, an agency that promotes business development in that region, back in July this year. It is part of the real estate developer’s strategy to offer its customers logistics hubs near to their end customers.

“As the logistics industry continues to grow, there is a constant increase in the demand for logistics facilities,” says Philipp Feige, vice president, market officer Germany, Prologis. In order to meet the rising need for storage capacities in strategically advantageous locations, Prologis has decided to continue to expand in selected German markets – as in Bremen.

“Bremeninvest has been a strong and reliable partner ever since we entered the Bremen market more than ten years ago,” Philipp Feige continues. “Therefore we are very much looking forward to starting this speculative project in this strong market right away.” (mw)
