"Qare" and commitment to people

Qatar Airways Cargo recently surpassed a milestone – it transported 10 million Covid-19 vaccines. This total includes doses for Unicef, as part of a recently-signed 5-year MoU to support the UN organisation’s Humanitarian Airfreight Initiative. Since December 2020, the carrier has transported vaccines to 20 countries, including Algeria, Cambodia, Denmark, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Rwanda and South Africa.

Through its "QR Pharma" product, the freight division of Qatar Airways offers controlled cool chain and dedicated monitoring, intervention and servicing as well as proactive re-icing at its Doha hub. With these investments, the cargo carrier has confirmed its strategy and its commitment to the logistics of the global Covid-19 vaccination endeavours.

Qatar Airways Cargo recently introduced its sustainability project "WeQare"; it consists of a series of positive actions in the form of chapters. Learn more about them from chief officer cargo Guillaume Halleux in ITJ 13-14/2021, out next Friday, 19 March 2021! (ah)
