Qatar Airways: more flights to Southern Africa
The capitals of Zambia and Zimbabwe will become the Qatar Airways' fifth and sixth new destination launched in Africa since the start of the pandemic. Starting in exactly one month's time, on 6 August 2021, the new service to Lusaka and onwards to Harare is scheduled to be operated three times per week with a B787 Dreamliner.
The new service also supports increased demand for trade between the two landlocked Southern African countries and destinations on the Qatar Airways network such as London, Frankfurt and New York and from multiple points in China. With a total of 30 t of cargo capacity on the aircraft per flight, Qatar Airways Cargo expects to play a key role in facilitating key exports from Zambia and Zimbabwe. (ah)
