Qatar off to Pittsburgh/receives 13th B777F
Today (11 October 2017), Qatar Airways Cargo is commencing B777 freighter services to Pittsburgh PA (USA), its seventh new freighter destination this year and thirteenth in the Americas.
In addition, Qatar Airways Cargo has taken delivery of its thirteenth Boeing B777 freighter at its home base at Hamad international airport (HIA) in Doha. The world’s third largest international cargo carrier’s fleet now comprises eight Airbus A330Fs, 13 B777Fs and one B747-8F.
Qatar Airways chief officer cargo, Ulrich Ogiermann, said: “We are excited to take delivery of the newest freighter just days after our first B747-8F nose loader joined the fleet. The new freighters will be deployed on long haul routes in scheduled services and will also allow us to provide bespoke air charter services for various industries, including the industrial and oil and gas sectors.” (ah)
