Qatar's free trade zones prepare their next move

The Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZA) has drawn a positive balance of its first appearance at the transport logistics trade fair in Munich. The two new free trade zones in Doha (Qatar) generated a favourable interest among the logistics services providers.

The next step will be to hold further talks with the companies on specific projects of cooperation. “The free trade zones offer ideal conditions for foreign and local investors to work together. And not only with the aim to strike business deals in Qatar, but also to operate successfully worldwide,” said H.E. Ahmad Al-Sayed, minister of state and chairman of QFZA, during his visit to the trade fair.

For QFZA, Germany, Switzerland and Austria are key markets for motivating logistics companies to settle on the gulf coast. (mw)
