Raben operating new logistics centre near Schwerin
The German logistics company Raben started a new branch office to the south of Schwerin (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) in December. The logistics centre, which offers 13,000 pallet slots, created 20 new jobs in the region. The design of the facility ensures that the storage and handling areas can be expanded at a later date.
When summing up Raben’s concept, branch manager Ties-Christian Petersen, said: "The location combines the requirements of modern contract logistics with those of efficient groupage freight forwarding."
The centre sports 15 loading bays and 1,750 sqm of floor space for swift general cargo processing. More than 66% of the pallet slots are already being used by a confectionary manufacturer. (mw)
