Saudi Arabian Bahri Group goes Haropa
At the beginning of 2018, Saudi Arabia's Bahri Group started a new service that calls at the port of Le Havre. It is a ro-ro option for cars, conventional goods, containers and project cargo. The new solution links Haropa to the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf on a bimonthly basis.
Six ships are deployed in the service, including the "Bahri Tabuk", which opened the link to the terminal Robler Havrais at the beginning of the year. The vessels are 225 m and are equipped with 250 t access ramps as well as two cranes lifting 120 t each. Ships can carry various goods, including new vehicles, construction machinery, electric generators, railways and all kinds of construction equipment. (kd)
