Saudia Cargo contributes to air-sea-air cargo corridor

Saudia Cargo CEO, Omar Hariri (left), and the King Abdullah Economic Port CEO, Rayan Qutub, have signed a joint agreement at King Abdullah Economic City, 90 km north of Jeddah, to enhance collaboration opportunities and establish a secure logistical operations zone.

The pact, which comes shortly after the inauguration of King Abdullah Port will establish an air-sea-air cargo corridor with the surrounding airports to ensure the smooth flow of cargo to the port and re-export it by air. The move is in line with the Saudi Vision 2030 that aims to turn the kingdom into an international logistics hub.

The airline wants to contribute to the development of logistics operations at this port that acts as a significant hub in the region. Its estimated number of cargo consumers is more than 400 million, Hariri noted. (ah)
