Second attempt for PSA in Nhava Sheva
According to local newspapers, the Singapore-based port operator PSA is making a second attempt to run the fourth box terminal in India's port of Nhava Sheva (officially Jawaharlal Nehru). A consortium around the company initially won the contract last year but failed to sign a concession agreement within an extended deadline. Port officials had been quoted to be looking into blacklisting PSA for future projects but have not gone ahead. Other players in the race for the new terminal are said to be Dubai-based DP World, APMT - the terminal arm of the Danish Møller-Maersk Group, and the Indian Adani Group.
