Shippers aided by new rail service
follow A new rail service for moving containerised freight at the port of Portland’s terminal 6 has just been established by BNSF and the Oregon (USA)-based port. The new shuttle offers enables shippers to move their products on a rail shuttle to the Puget Sound ports.
The US class I railroad BNSF moves containers between Portland and Seattle/Tacoma were they can be loaded onto ocean carriers. The shuttle operates five days per week and complements the port’s monthly containership call.
