Strengthening ties between China and UAE

"Strengthening tourism, trade and commercial links between China and the UAE is a key strategy for Dubai Airports," said Khalil Lamrabet, director of Dubai Airports' aviation business management, during the recent UAE air transport cooperation promotion conference.


The Chinese delegation replied positively, announcing plans to operate three weekly B747F flights between Kunming, the capital of South China's Yunnan Province, and Dubai.


Yunnan is a leading tourist and agricultural region, with rich natural resources and abundant agricultural products. More than USD 4.8 billion of agricultural products such as tea, coffee, vegetables and fruits were exported in 2017. By 2030, Kunming Changshui airport (KMG) should have an upgraded annual cargo capacity of 1.78 million t. (ah)
