Three leases at Garbe site

Garbe Industrial has secured three new tenants for its multi-user park in Duisburg. A Chinese company will occupy the entire 14,000 sqm logistics hall, while Annings industrial solutions and Actemium’s Duisburg branch have leased units in the adjacent commercial buildings. Developed together with Bremer Projektentwicklung, the complex was built on the 56,000 sqm former 'Zeus site' in Meiderich, transforming the former steelworks into a industrial location.

In total, the project offers around 29,500 sqm of space, including one large hall and two business park buildings. Frank Soppa, regional project development director west at Garbe Industrial, said the leases confirm the firm’s strategy of building in prime locations without pre-letting commitments. Shaoting Fan, Annings industrial solutions managing director, highlighted Duisburg’s role as a key hub for railfreight between Europe and Asia and said the new site will expand its local capacities.
