Train brings poultry to Uzbekistan

The first load is already on its way as a pilot export shipment. The transport, including all (customs) formalities, is being handled by Russian Railways Logistics (RZDL) for the Resource Group, which is one of the largest Russian agricultural exporters.

Agro-Express is delivering the frozen poultry from Tambov (about 420 km south-east of Moscow in Russia) to Uzbekistan. The first load is being carried in refrigerated containers as part of a container train via Kazakhstan to Sergeli/Tashkent. The new route represents Agro-Express' sixth line for the export of Russian agricultural products by rail. (ben)
