Turkish Cargo adds fleet and Basel service

Turkish Cargo has included the sixth B777F, capable of flying up to 102 t of cargo at a range of 9,200 km, to its fleet, with two more to come by 2020. Currently, the carrier relies on 344 aircraft, including 24 freighters.

With an A330F, Turkish Cargo introduced a second connection with Basel (Switzerland) on 21 August. The Wednesday flight complements the Saturday roundtrip that was launched at the end of 2017. Tomorrow, 16 October 2019, Basel airport will also host the first forum of the IG Air Cargo Switzerland – Section Basel-Mulhouse.

Leading to various conclusions and interpretations, the theme of the day, "digital", will be discussed in the presence of Matthias Suhr (EuroAirport), Peter Somaglia (IG Air Cargo Switzerland), Boris Hueske (Lufthansa Cargo), Eelco de Jong (Validaide) and Stéphane Noll (Champ Cargosystems). (ah)
