Two ATR 72-500F for intra-Indonesian transport


Angkasa Pura Logistik, a subsidiary of Angkasa Pura Airports, has signed a lease agreement with Pelita Air Service for two ATR 72-500F which will be used to transport cargo with round trip routes from Jakarta to Balikpapan and Makassar to support the connectivity and the distribution of goods.

 

Angkasa Pura Airports’ president director Faik Fahmi (r.): "The development of the air cargo business is one of our strategic programmes in 2020. One of them is through the cooperation of aircraft lease between Angkasa Pura Logistik and Pelita in order to develop our subsidiary's air freight business."

 

Analysts project a 110% increase of the air freight business in Indonesia in 2018-2024 with an estimated CAGR growth in 2019-2024 of 13%, with the air freight market volume growing from USD 9.2 billion to USD 19.3 billion. (ah)
