Uber Freight names new CEO
Uber Freight has appointed Rebecca Tinucci as CEO, succeeding founder Lior Ron, who will now become chairman of Uber Freight and COO of Waabi, an autonomous trucking company backed by Uber.
Tinucci, formerly head of Tesla’s global charging business, transformed it into a multi-billion-dollar operation and drove industry collaboration on EV infrastructure.
She later led Uber’s global electrification strategy, forging partnerships to advance zero-emission goals. Her experience in scaling networks and integrating systems aligns with Uber Freight’s aim to build a connected logistics platform.
Under Ron’s leadership, the company grew into a USD 20 billion freight management player with innovations such as Uber Freight TMS, Exchange, Powerloop and Insights AI. (gy)
