Unseenlabs' upcoming satellite launches

Unseenlabs, a French leader in space-based radio-frequency detection, has announced the forthcoming launch of its BRO-17 and BRO-20 satellites aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-15 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in November. This “LEVEL TWENTY” mission marks a significant step in expanding the company’s BRO constellation, which is renowned for detecting and locating vessels through electromagnetic emissions — even when they are not visible to traditional maritime monitoring systems. Unseenlabs’ unique monosatellite technology allows a single satellite to geolocate signal emitters, delivering rapid and actionable data across vast ocean areas to support efforts against illegal fishing, pollution, and trafficking.

Having already been selected by the European Space Agency under the Copernicus programme, Unseenlabs has established itself as a global benchmark in RF intelligence, performing thousands of detections daily and revealing major gaps in reported maritime activity, particularly in regions such as the Bay of Bengal and the Pacific. The launch of BRO-17 and BRO-20 will pave the way for the company’s second-generation satellites from 2026, extending its capabilities to land and space-based monitoring. This advancement reinforces Unseenlabs’ aim to lead multi-domain RF surveillance and provide critical intelligence for governments and private organisations worldwide.
