UPS and San Bernardino airport doing it again
One year after operating four weekly flights through San Bernardino airport (SBD) during the holiday season (see ITJ Daily of 24/11/16), UPS has entered into an agreement with SBD to support growing seasonal demand for air cargo flights to/from inland USA.
This year UPS Airlines will operate up to 18 flights each week during the holidays. The flight segments will include SBD-Louisville KY, and SBD–Rockford IL, using Boeing B757 and B767 freighters.
Carey Davis, mayor of San Bernardino city and president of the San Bernardino international airport authority: "We are happy to see UPS return to SBD with even more flights. UPS is already a major employer in the region, and will be hiring 200 people from our community to support these new flights." (ah)
