Virgins with more capacity to Asia, Africa and USA

In exactly four months’ time, commencing on 29 March 2020, Virgin Atlantic’s new summer schedule will give cargo customers more capacity on prime routes to India, Africa and the USA. The carrier is introducing a second daily service between London (UK) and Delhi (India), which, coupled with its new service to Mumbai, will bring its daily frequency to India to three.

In the USA, San Francisco services are to increase to twice daily, operated by the airline's new A350, like Los Angeles, Johannesburg (South Africa) and Lagos (Nigeria). Virgin Australia will add Japan to its cargo network, launching daily services between Brisbane and Tokyo-HND.

Cargo space on the carrier's first-ever service to Tokyo will be marketed by Virgin Atlantic Cargo under its long-haul sales and marketing agreement. The A330 flight offers up to 20 t of cargo capacity. (ah)
