Welcome aboard 'M/S Finncanopus'
Finnlines' new vessel, ‘M/S Finncanopus’, has arrived at Ports of Stockholm, marking its maiden call. This follows the introduction of ‘M/S Finnsirius’ in September 2023, as part of Finnlines' fleet renewal on the Kapellskär – Långnäs – Naantali route.
Like the ‘Finnsirius’, the ‘Finncanopus’ is a Superstar class ferry, the largest in shipping line’s fleet, enhancing capacity and efficiency on the Sweden-Finland route. The ‘Finncanopus’ operates morning departures from Kapellskär and evening departures from Naantali and offers passengers the option to travel without a vehicle.
This development aims to enhance sustainability, capacity, and passenger comfort on the Sweden-Åland Islands-Finland route. Kapellskär, the northernmost port of the Ports of Stockholm, is important for efficient cargo and passenger transport between Sweden and Finland, benefiting Stockholm and the surrounding region. (pb)
