Zagrosjet adds European destinations
Zagrosjet, the first and only Kurdish carrier that was established last year in Erbil, is adding new services to/from Europe. From its hub in Northern Iraq (photo), the airline is commencing one weekly flight to Amsterdam (Netherlands), starting today (26 June 2014), and one to Munich (Germany), starting 28 June.
With a two Airbus-strong fleet, the Atlasjet Airlines (Turkey) subsidiary began to serve Stockholm Arlanda (Sweden) as its first destination in Western Europe, and then started flights from London Luton (UK) to Istanbul Atatürk last month. Flights from Erbil to Luton are planned to start in July, turning Zagrosjet into the second Iraqi carrier to serve the UK, after Iraqi Airways which flies to London Gatwick.
