2014 favoured Europe's airports
The European airport trade body, ACI Europe, recently released its traffic report for December, Q4 and full year 2014. The document reveals that during 2014, cargo traffic at Europe's airports grew by an average +3.6%, and in December by +2.1%. The leading airports in the last month of 2014 were Frankfurt/Main (164,835 t, -1.7%), Paris-CDG (164,000 t, -0.7%) and Amsterdam (133,886 t, -0.7%).
The same three airports also topped the annual handling league for the full year. Frankfurt processed 2,051,345 t (+1.8%) of airfreight, Paris-CDG 1,890,829 t (+0.8%) and Amsterdam 1,633,195 t (+6.7%).
