A new entity with big ambitions

Since yesterday, 1 June 2021, the ports of Le Havre, Rouen and Paris, which have already been united under the Haropa banner since 2012, have additionally formed the ‘major Seine axis river and sea port authority’. During a sunny afternoon river cruise in the Parisian port of Gennevilliers on 1 June Haropa Port, the fifth-largest northern European port complex, revealed its new corporate identity and shared details of its sustainability goals, illustrated by a logistics complex of the future that’s unique in Europe.

Goodman has been selected to develop a 90,000 sqm multimodal logistics platform that will be structured on four levels, linked directly to the Seine and designed to promote riverine transport and urban distribution in the greater Paris region. Haropa Port CEO Stéphane Raison (on the right, together with Philippe Arfi, director of Goodman France) said that the ‘Green Dock’ project is “a perfect illustration of the new river and sea port’s positioning and of our ambitions for the development of decarbonised logistics.” (ah)
