Air Serbia is back in Istanbul

As a consequence of the temporary suspension of operations by AtlasGlobal, a Turkish partner of Air Serbia, the Serbian national flag carrier is re-establishing its flights between Belgrade (Serbia) and Istanbul (Turkey), following a two-and-a-half-year break.

The first flight to the city on the Bosporus is scheduled for today, 11 December 2019. Initially, the Belgrade-based airline will operate three weekly flights, with additional services on Sunday between 22 December and 5 January, and a possible increase of the frequency to seven flights a week from 29 March 2020.

Kadri Samsunlu, CEO and chairman of the executive board at iGA Airport Operations, the company that operates the new Istanbul airport, welcomes the 74th airline and adds that Turkey and Serbia also have significant business potential. (ah)
