Aisats enhances security and tracking in Bengaluru
The ground handling provider Air India Sats Airport Services (Aisats), a joint venture of Air India and the Singapore-based gateway services company Sats, has received Transported Asset Protection Association (Tapa) facility security requirements (FSR) 2017 class A certification for the warehouse security for its cargo operations at the airfreight terminal and Aisats Coolport at Bengaluru airport.
This makes Aisats BLR, one of the company's six stations across India, the first Indian air cargo terminal to achieve this strict evaluation level.
Still at this airport, where its cargo operations increased by 16.6% to 97,486 t in Q1/FY 2018, Aisats recently launched a new shipment tracking platform that uses RFID technology for cargo handling operations.
