Another Amazon gateway in PNW

Amazon has started operations at its new air gateway at Spokane airport (GEG), WA, USA. This is Amazon Air’s second location in the state of the Pacific Northwest (PNW) region.

The first flight on Amazon Air’s branded B737 freighter, operated by Sun Country Airlines, arrived last week from Fairbanks, AK. Service will continue daily.

Amazon Air’s newest gateway, 450 km east of Seattle, will be managed by Trego-Dugan Aviation. The site is expected to create more than 50 new jobs in the area.

This announcement comes on the heels of the opening of a second Amazon fulfilment centre in the Spokane area last month and plans to open a delivery station and a sortation centre next to the fulfilment centre in Airway Heights in 2022. (ah)
