Arthur Welter expanding in France
The Luxembourgian logistician Arthur Welter already has branches in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Slovakia, and now the family-run enterprise has inaugurated its latest logistics centre in Ennery (France). The eastern French site is strategically well-placed, close to two motorways and a mere 60 from the corporation's headquarters in Luxembourg.
The new building, which cost the company approximately EUR 2 million, includes a 2,500 sqm heated warehouse, 285 sqm of offices and a lorry-washing station. Arthur Welter handles transport solutions for normal goods in France, as well as for foodstuffs requiring temperature-controlled options, and additionally offers warehousing and packing solutions. The firm's activities in France generate sales worth EUR 7 million, or 9% of group sales. (mw)
