Basel airport celebrates Iata Ceiv Pharma certification
In presence of Glyn Hughes (7th from right), Iata's global head of cargo, management representatives of Fiege, Fischer Road Cargo, Swissport and Swiss Worldcargo joined Basel Euroairport's management to celebrate receiving Iata Ceiv Pharma certification, based on a community approach.
It was decided to go for the certification at the end of 2015. Its receipt confirms the cargo community’s commitment towards the regional life science industry. Over the last few years, all programme participants worked closely together to fine tune and align stakeholder interfaces.
Their objective was to ensure, as a community, the delivery of high quality standards in the transport, storage and handling of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products at the airport's cargo terminal which provides constant temperature control. (ah)
